&lt;p&gt;Many people flocked to High Park this last week to revel in the beauty of this year&amp;rsquo;s spectacle of cherry blossoms.  I&amp;rsquo;m sure war or anything close to it was far away from the minds of these nature lovers.  They were moved physically to get there and moved within themselves by the beauty they felt there.  Nature&amp;rsquo;s beauty has the power to hold us captive by just being present to it.  However, some weren&amp;rsquo;t happy to just see this beauty.  Through the magic of photography, they wanted to take some of it away.  I was one of those present.&lt;/p&gt;</description></item><item><title>High Park's Bloomin' Trees</title><link>/posts/high-parks-bloomin-trees/</link><pubDate>Tue, 13 May 2014 00:00:00 +0000</pubDate><guid>/posts/high-parks-bloomin-trees/</guid><description>&lt;p&gt;&lt;em&gt;No winter lasts forever; no spring skips its turn. ~Hal Borland&lt;/em&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;This past winter was  a long and difficult one for us in Toronto.  We were all looking forward to Spring and it seemed too long in coming.  But the good new is that it&amp;rsquo;s finally arrived.  High Park was filled with people yesterday enjoying the &amp;ldquo;bloomin&amp;rsquo; trees.&amp;rdquo;  The cherry blossoms have started to blossom but the blooms are very young.  They aren&amp;rsquo;t in bloom for a long time though so if you&amp;rsquo;re  planning to go, try to get over there within the next few days.  I spent a lovely afternoon in the park enjoying a glorious spring day.  All the photo collages are images that I took there yesterday and without further ado, here they are!&lt;/p&gt;</description></item></channel></rss>
